These pretty, adventurous socks are knit from the cuff down and let you choose to make them with or without a side cable. The vines and leaves twist in opposite directions on the two feet, making for lovely symmetry.

SKILLS YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE THIS PATTERN: Knit, purl, make a gauge swatch in Stockinette Stitch.
CABLE CHARTS: All instructions are written out in full. However, the cable stitches are also illustrated in charted form.
PATTERN REQUIREMENTS: 2 x 50g/1.76 oz (199 m/218 yds) balls sock yarn (I used Knit Picks’ “Felici” in Maple Leaves and Spring Mix), Set of four 2.75 mm (US 2) double-pointed needles (Optional –Two circular needles of this size instead of dpns) OR size needed to obtain gauge; cable needle; yarn needle; scrap of yarn for marker
GAUGE: 34 stitches=10 cm/4 inches over Stockinette Stitch.
