But can two people with very different lives find a future on the same stage?

Every Star that Shines is the first standalone title in the sweet small town Peace Country Romance series.

Long description:

Sometimes the star you wish on is the one that leads you home.

When Delanie Fletcher’s acting career implodes overnight, the last place she wants to run is homeβ€”and the last person she wants to see is the high school sweetheart she never got over. But her grandmother’s final gift is a kids’ play that needs a director, and Delanie can’t say no to the woman who first put her on a stage.

Caleb Toews has spent a decade being responsibleβ€”raising his daughter, helping out on the family farm, burying his screenwriting dreams. He’s made peace with his choices. Mostly. But when Delanie breezes back into town and needs an assistant director, working beside her again feels less like closure and more like a second chance he doesn’t deserve.

Between chaotic rehearsals, a cast of scene-stealing kids, and a small town that never forgot they were meant to be together, Delanie and Caleb discover that the spark between them never really died. But can two people with such different lives find a future on the same stage?

Every Star that Shines is the first standalone book in the clean and sweet Peace Country Romance series. If you like second-chance sweethearts, single dads, meddling small towns, and a little theatrical chaos, grab your ticket to Peace Crossing.

Quotes from the Book:

The good looks he’d had when they’d dated in high school had matured into a rustic, casual magnetism he still seemed completely unaware of, but which made Delanie’s mouth go dry.
– Every Star that Shines by Talena Winters

β€œI have a confession to make. I never got over you. Not for a single second.”
– Caleb, Every Star that Shines by Talena Winters

β€œLook. First star of the night…”

Caleb pointed out the living room picture window and helped Delanie to her feet, pulling her to come stand next to him. β€œMake a wish.”

Delanie gave him a long, uncertain look, then glanced at the pinpoint of white light before closing her eyes for several long seconds. He stared at her, drinking in her presence, knowing she couldn’t feel uncomfortable about his gaze if she couldn’t see it.

Her eyes fluttered open, and she blushed. β€œWere you looking at me the whole time?”

His face warmed. β€œMaybe,” he mumbled.

β€œDidn’t you make a wish?”

He shook his head. β€œI don’t need to. My wish is standing right here.”

He pulled her into him and enveloped her in his arms. She stiffened, then relaxed and wrapped her arms around his waist, leaning into his chest.

β€œI have a confession to make,” he said. β€œI never got over you. Not for a single second.”

After a pause, she said, β€œA wish isn’t enough to overcome all the obstacles between us.”

β€œNo. But it’s enough to make me believe we could. This time, I have no intention of letting you go anywhere without me. Whatever happens, I want to give us a fair shot.”
