I Am Right, Mr. Darcy by Jessica L. Jackson

As an amateur antiquarian, Elizabeth Bennet spends her summers with her aunt and uncle, pursuing her biggest, most secret, theory! Aunt and Uncle Gardiner know her theoryβ€”as does her best friend, Charlotte Lucas. Through necessity, a few servants are in on the secret. But, NO ONE ELSE!

Elizabeth knows she is right about some of the standing stones that litter the landscape. How to prove it is the tricky question. This year, Derbyshire is the destination for their antiquarian pursuits. There, she meets a mesmerizing gentleman who is as fascinated by antiquities as herself. Should she reveal her secret theory to him? Dare she?

Fitzwilliam Darcy’s heart is tipped to one side when three standing stones suddenly appear out of nowhere. They were not there the day before and nowβ€”poofβ€”there they are! He rushes to investigate. However, Darcy discovers he is not the only antiquarian studying the phenomenon. He swiftly learns that Miss Elizabeth Bennetβ€”an aggravating, though captivating young ladyβ€”is fascinated by standing stones.

Very soon, Darcy is thanking the Lord that Elizabeth is staying all summer. It appears to him, though, that she harbors a secret theory with regards to these three stones. What can she possibly know that he does not? And… could she be right after all?

I Am Right, Mr. Darcy is a clean Pride and Prejudice variation by Jessica L. Jackson.
