While I was looking for quotes about simple pleasures today, I found so many good ones. I also came across this one:
βTea is the only simple pleasure left to us.β
Now, I love me my tea, but with all due respect to Mr. Wilde, I disagree. There are SO many more than that. Even this photo that captures a few that I'm looking forward to this weekend doesn't come close--there are my family, friends, worshipping God, music, sunshine, the smell of the air after the rain, knitting, making things, petting cats or other animals, finding a really clever word while playing Scrabble, cuddling, chocolate... the list is actually quite long.
I purchased this book (The Book Thief) several months ago and have been slavering every time I spotted it on my "to-read" pile. This weekend or next, it's getting the cover cracked. I'm so excited.
Simple pleasures are the best. Or, as another saying that I found all over the Internet said:
βSimple pleasures are lifeβs treasures.β
