The Friday Night Date Dress gets a new audiobook
Iβve never thought of myself as an βearly adopter,β but it turns out, there are certainly some things, especially tech related to art production, where Iβm ahead of the curve. While this can be fun, being on the βbleeding edgeβ can also mean you find the need to redo things as the technology improves.
Such is the case with the digitally narrated audiobook for The Friday Night Date Dress, my clean and sweet romantic womenβs fiction novella about a woman recovering from grief by sewing couture dresses she wears only once and the aspiring photographer who draws her out of her shell.
I created the first version of this audiobook in 2022 using the auto-narration service from Google Play Books. While it was better than having your eReader read a book aloud, it was still far from the kind of reading experience most fiction audiobook readers want to have (myself included).
But the technology and tools have kept improving. And today, Iβm excited to announce that Iβve released a brand new version of the audiobook for The Friday Night Date Dress, voiced by the digital clone of professional artist Jessica Anne Bogart and created through the premiere AI voice app, ElevenLabs.
I have to admit, even I was surprised at the quality of the performance in placesβ¦ Using a pro actorβs voice clone certainly helps a lot!

As before, this audiobook is a free download for my newsletter subscribers. You can also purchase it through my store or quite a few other retailers or stream it on Spotify.
Iβd love to hear what you think of the new performance. Let me know in the comments!
Happy listening!
