Meet the Band
Shattered Clay Worship as a musical project is Talena Wintersβs heart cry to God. She penned, composed, produced, and performed each song, sometimes in collaboration with other vocalists and musicians. She hopes worship leaders and believers find their own faith reflected in these songs of praise and devotion, and that they incorporate this music into their worship practice and services.
As part of her overall world, Shattered Clay is also a fictional band from Peace Crossing, the small northern Alberta town at the heart of Talenaβs clean small town fiction series. If youβre here for the stories, watch for the characters below to appear in future books.

Trevor Cohen
LEAD VOCALS | GUITAR
Trevor Cohen, 36, has spent his career doing what he loves mostβleading people into the presence of God. As worship pastor at his church, he pairs a pleasant tenor voice and acoustic and electric guitar with a teacherβs instinct, weaving brief moments of insight between songs that turn a set list into an act of discipleship. He and his wife, Marin, share both a home and a stage.

Marin Crawford Cohen
LEAD VOCALS
Marin Crawford Cohen, 34, has a voice powerful enough to fill a room and sweet enough to draw it to stillness. She and her husband, Trevor, met at camp as teenagers, found their way back to each other years later, and now lead worship side by side while raising three young kids. Beneath the harmonies, Marin has one driving passionβto pursue Godβs presence and will, and to help everyone singing with her do the same.

Ayodele Balogun
VOCALS
Ayodele Balogun, 43, grew up with music running through her family. Raised and mentored by parents in church leadership and music ministry back in Nigeria, she holds a deep, steadfast faith in Godβs saving grace and belief in the importance of worship. She now brings her powerhouse voice to Shattered Clay Worship, usually on backup but ready to step into the lead when needed. For Ayo, singing isnβt a performanceβitβs her truest act of worship.

Catherine Pryce
KEYS | VOCALS
Catherine Pryce, 47, holds a dual degree in classical piano and voice, and once played Maria in a production of The Sound of Music at Torontoβs Royal Alexandra Theatre. Since moving to Peace Crossing, she has stayed rooted in local theatre as an actor, musician, and sometime music director, while also teaching piano and voice, leading a local choir, and lending her keyboard and backup vocals to Shattered Clay Worship. Music is in her blood, and for Cat, service is the heart that pumps it.

Aaron Lee
BASS GUITAR
Aaron Lee, 25, gave his life to Christ at a summer camp when he was fifteen and hasnβt looked back, returning every year since to counsel a new round of campers. He plays piano and guitar, but sticks to bass for Shattered Clay Worship. Outside of his day job as a network administrator, youβll find him watching anime or cooking Indian food, much to his Korean motherβs chagrin.

Xavier Wallace
DRUMS
Xavier Wallace, 35, keeps time for Shattered Clay Worship and runs the sound board on the Sundays heβs not behind the kit. His friends call him Professor X. He says heβs more like Synch, because heβs only as good as the people beside him. To Xavier, the best thing about grace is that God doesnβt care what youβve accomplished. He teaches high school and coaches basketball, was born and raised in the Peace River valley, and remains convinced that -40 builds character.
