Behind the Song
When I sat down to write this song, I wanted to write a worship song that expressed how I felt about God, but found myself at a loss. How does one capture the beauty of Jesus in three to four minutes? Impossible!
That speechlessness became the cry of this song. Like Moses before the burning bush or Isaiah before the throne of God, I felt totally unworthy of speaking, yet unable to look away from the magnificence and wonder of the God who made the universe⦠yet who calls me his daughter.
This song was written in 2012. Iβm thrilled to finally get it produced. The voice is digital based on audio of me singing (I wish I sounded this good!). I had a lot of fun arranging the strings for this one, too, and learned a ton about mixing and mastering while I worked on it. I hope it moves you.
