“Help Me Find the Words” is a mid-tempo alternative rock worship song woven with orchestral textures and aching honesty. It’s the sound of standing before Jesus—overwhelmed, unworthy, and yet deeply loved—and realizing that no lyric, no melody could ever be enough to capture His beauty.

Written in a moody minor key and spanning about an octave and a half, “Help Me Find the Words” suits both male and female leads and can work for solo artists or full bands.

When I sat down to write this song, I wanted to write a worship song that expressed how I felt about God, but found myself at a loss. How does one capture the beauty of Jesus in three to four minutes? Impossible!
That speechlessness became the cry of this song. Like Moses before the burning bush or Isaiah before the throne of God, I felt totally unworthy of speaking, yet unable to look away from the magnificence and wonder of the God who made the universe… yet who calls me his daughter.
This song was written in 2012. I’m thrilled to finally get it produced. The voice is digital based on audio of me singing (I wish I sounded this good!). I had a lot of fun arranging the strings for this one, too, and learned a ton about mixing and mastering while I worked on it. I hope it moves you.
