Behind the Song

My mother has always been one of my biggest fans. You have her to thank that I ever published my first novel, The Friday Night Date Dress. If she hadn’t prompted me to do something with that story, it would likely still be in a drawer, and I may never have become an author.

She’s also a good part of the reason why I love and excelled at music—she got me on a stage singing by age four, into piano lessons the same year, and has always encouraged me to use my gifts to encourage others and share my faith.
