New Knitting Tutorials

In preparation for the upcoming release of my new pattern, Jill and the Bean Socks, I have created two new knitting tutorials for the Left-leaning and Right-leaning Bar Increases. (Plus my very first knitting tutorial videos!)

The Left-leaning Bar Increase (BincL) is also known as the Knit 1 front/back (k1fb/kfb), and is a very common increase that creates textural interest with a small hole and a bar that wraps around the left-most of the two stitches.

The mirror-image of this increase is less common. In fact, I had to learn how to do it so I could create my sock pattern, which has mirrored "twists" on each leg.

You can see the video tutorial for the Left-Leaning Bar Increase (K1fb/kfb/BincL) on the Stitch Tutorial page I created for it.

On the Stitch Tutorial page for the Right-leaning Bar Increase (BincR), you will get an online photo tutorial, video, and a downloadable PDF page of the photo tutorial. (This page will also be included in the Jill and the Bean Socks pattern.)

Happy knitting!
